Social Anxiety Disorder

What is social anxiety disorder?

Social anxiety disorder can be also referred to as social phobia. This is a condition that is characterised by an intense fear of a social situation where the sufferer is afraid of being judged by others and/or feeling embarrassed or humiliated.

The sufferer may also be self-conscious and critical of their own performance standards. They believe they are constantly below their social and working counterparts.
